Interesting FreeBSD spin-off with potential to be great
Their mports binary package manager works well
During first boot you are asked is you want to have a graphical desktop, saying yes installs a handfully of software, like windomaker, dbus, and slim.
After you are told to reboot for a graphical login,
but after reboot slim does not start.
So after you log in and do
#mport install xorg
then add to /etc/rc.conf
dbus_enable="YES"
and create an .xinitrc file in your home directory with
exec wmaker
rebooting again will allow the slim login manager to start and windomaker after login
I ended up installing xfce desktop
( note the documentation says do #mports install xfce4 , but get mport error "package not found in the index", but #mport install xfce worked)
wireless with run0 adaptor works (but not a urtwn or athn adaptor, that does with other BSD's)
Allot of software in thier mports list is not available in binary form.
I wanted to stick to binary packages, so the only web browsers available are ether midori or epiphany, nether work with youtube videos. but are otherwise usable .
for playing music and video, mplayer in xtem works fine, but it would be nice to have a graphical media player available
one problem is both
#shutdown -p now
and shutdown in xfce, both cause a reboot
but all in all is a fun system to play with, the default windowmaker is uniquley usable

Installation and package management need some work.
