I started using Salent recently and I have to say I'm very impressed. I like the stability of Debian, apt package management, and the incredibly 'light' feel of this distribution generally. The pre-installed software collection was fine too. I just can't fault this distro; an easy 10.
Pros: Performance is excellent on this 10 year old laptop (Celeron, single processor @ 2.9gh). Openbox and tint offer a nice clean desktop experience. If you like crunchbang or bunsenlabs, you'll find this OS familiar and totally customizable. As a semi-professional distro hopper, I found myself really taking to this distro, last time I was this impressed is when I got turned on to crunchbang many moons ago. Though Firefox is a total resource hog on older systems, alternatives exist so no big concern there. I'll be keeping this one for a minute.
Cons: I'll get back with you when I find one.

Starting using SalentOS when it was with Ubuntu, certainly glad they put those days behind them and run Debian. The last release was something of a surprise and found right home with it, this release is even better.
Mid-sized distribution with a nice choice of applications, low resource usage as well. Very happy and can't complain about anything, simply a great upgrade from the last release.
Themes and icons are quite adequate for customizing, the tint2 docker is a nice touch for shortcuts. Appearance overall is very attractive.
Highly recommend anyone looking for a very stable Debian Openbox to try SalentOS, very impressive!
