Think od Slackel as a Slackware-Current with package dependency resolution and extras. It is a rolling distro, but it is quite stable. You just update packages every now and then, and you have the latest version of software in a stable OS. Special care is needed if you upgrade Glibc, a core part of the system.
Great support: Developer is very active in the forums and will answer any questions you may have in a matter of minutes/hours.
Slackel comes with its extra repository (not just Slackware-Current) and all the nice Salix tools for easily configuring everything. You can also install Slackel in a USB stick (persistent installation), which is great for a portable, up-to-date GNU/Linux installation. There are two window manager/desktop flavors by default (KDE and Openbox), but you can easily install any other flavor you like.
All in all, Slackel is a great distribution, and one of the easiest 10 out of 10 I've ever rated.

Excellent distro with a beautiful DE. There is learning curve at the beginning but then you have a rock solid distro. If you want the latest packages and the latest kernel, this distro is not for you.

Above outstanding, STELLA. What a computer operating system should be. Very fast, simple and elegant desktop. Everything worked. And they did it without the problematic systemd.
A very light and strong distribution. The installer on the live CD is one of the fastest and easiest ever tested on a Linux operating system. The repository is based on Slackware current and make the system truly updated on the latest versions of the programs. A great distro without Systemd, based on the KISS principles and Unix-like solidity and simplicity.
